This Flower Mandala Coloring Book by Wendy Piersall is awesome. I love Mandalas and really love Manadals with a theme. This is my 2nd book of hers and I just have to say that I think I am hooked. I love to escape reality pretty much. It helps to easy my Anxiety and Stress due to PTSD.
You get a nice Introduction in the front of the book. I really like how she explains her thoughts about “how to color”. I very much agree with the statement that there is no wrong or right way. Being asked the question so many times she has had to come up with a written version to go into her books to explain it.
There are 30 Beautiful and Unique Mandalas in this book for you to color. There is just something about them that I find so calming. I love that these are all flowers. There are a couple in here that a beginner can do, a few that are medium detailed but the majority of them are intricate.
The images are printed single sided on Medium weight paper. The pages are not perforated but they are easy enough to get out if you just score them along the binding of the book with a pair of scissors. The Mandalas are about 6.5 inches each and they are centered on the page which makes them perfect for framing. The book itself is only 7.5 wide x 9 1/4″ tall.
These are really easy to do with sharp colored Pencils, Gel Pens, or Fine Liners. Just always make sure to put a piece of paper under the page you are working on. My Gel Pens did not bleed through but I did color one after the video with Markers and it bled through.
In the very back of the book you get a little section about Wendy which I think is very nice. I love knowing about the Illustrator of the images I am coloring. I love this book. Like I said in the beginning. There is something about the circular pattern of Mandalas that just breaks the cycle of Anxiety and Stress for me. I started with Mandalas and they will forever remain my favorite. I was fortunate to receive this book Coloring Flower Mandalas in exchange for my HONEST and UNBIASED review.
